読者の方から出版社を通してプレゼントを頂いた。

本当は元旦に届くように送られてきたようだが、出版社が休業中だったので今日私の手もとに届けられた。

それは時にちなんだ菓子折りだった。

紀元１世紀頃中国で生まれた十二時辰という時刻や方位に関する概念が日本にも伝来し、広く使われていたという。

私はその十二時辰の歴史にも興味を抱いたが、それが元旦に届けられたことにも意味を感じた。

クリスマスでもなく、春節でもなく、謝肉祭でもラマダン明けでもない。2016年の元旦である。

「時」と人類のつきあい方に思いを馳せた。

 

I got a gift from a reader through the publisher.

It is a box of cake associated with Time.

There has been a concept about Time and direction since A.D.1 from China to Japan.

I’m interested in that  the gift was sent for New Year’s Day, but not Christmas, not  Lunar New Year, not Carnival, and not Ramadan easer.  For New Year’s Day of 2016.

I speculate on the history of Time and human beings.
